Senior Web Developer and Architect

uLocate Communications, Inc., North America’s leading publisher of mobile location services, is seeking a full-time, on-site Senior Web Developer and Architect with an equal flair for solving both creative and technical problems to help build  www.where.com into a premier consumer site for WHERE mobile location-based services.

Primary Responsibilities:
The Senior Web Developer and Architect will take charge of design and development of www.where.com as we extend our award-winning mobile product line to the web.  Your core mission will be to increase the reach and range of www.where.com by creating a destination website that is friendly to both consumers and search engines.  Your ability to quickly implement clear and effective web pages in response to a rapidly changing marketplace will also be critical to your success.

Core Skills

• Minimum 5 to 8 years building and scaling high-volume, consumer-oriented websites.
• Keen eye for clean UI implementation and knowledge of website design best practices.
• Comfortable with leading agile development teams and rapidly deploying new features on a daily/weekly basis.
• Demonstrated skills and creative approaches to search engine optimization.
• Expert software engineering skills including Java.  Experience with Spring a plus.
• Strong database skills, including MySQL.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

This is a full-time position based in Boston.  Competitive salary and stock options are available for the right candidate.
