Director of Business Development, West Region

Where, Inc., North America’s leading publisher of mobile location services, is seeking a full-time Director of Sales for the western region.  This is a pivotal revenue generating role responsible for representing WHERE Ads™ to leading publishers, advertising agencies, brands, and strategic accounts.

WHERE Ads is a leading hyper-local advertising network that:

  • Enables mobile publishers to monetize their traffic with contextually and locally relevant advertising
  • Provides a local connection between consumers and advertisers, brands, and merchants

To be successful, you must be an independent producer who has a firm grasp of the mobile advertising ecosystem and existing relationships with online publishers, advertising agencies, and brands. The ideal candidate must have a proven ability to manage the entire sales process – from cold call to post-sales implementation.

Effective communication and leadership skills are essential. In addition to making deals happen, the Director of Sales, Western Region will be representing Where, Inc. at partner and industry events and serve as an evangelist for Where’s products and services.

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years consumer advertising sales experience, preferably in mobile
  • Strong knowledge of agency landscape (digital and traditional) along with a ‘warm’ contacts list
  • Demonstrable track record of success in meeting and exceeding revenue goals
  • Proven ability to effectively lead post-sales marketing and operations efforts to launch new services with partners once deals are closed
  • Exceptional consultative and solutions-driven sales skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-growing, rapidly changing entrepreneurial environment
  • Strong negotiation skills

  • Ability/willingness to travel

Senior Manager, Partner Marketing

WHERE, Inc., North America’s leading publisher of mobile location services, is currently seeking a motivated self-starter to lead partner marketing efforts with carrier and OEMs. This individual must be an outstanding marketer and team player with experience working in the mobile sector.

The Partner Marketing Manager will focus on driving adoption of WHERE through partners including app stores, retail, and various marketing channels. Mobile expertise is required along with a proven ability to develop productive channel marketing programs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop consumer acquisition marketing programs with carrier and OEM partners, driving awareness of WHERE.
  • Educate partners on new product features and secure top placement and promotions with partner marketing channels.
  • Represent WHERE at partner tradeshows and marketing events.
  • Provide product management with requirements based on partner needs.
  • Analyze campaigns based on CPI metrics to ensure positive ROI.
  • Develop and manage all partner focused communications..

Required Skills and Experience

  • BA/BS degree preferred with a strong academic record; MA/MBA a plus.
  • 5-7 years of related work experience, preferable within the mobile industry.
  • Demonstrated track record of partner marketing programs.
  • Experience working for a mobile application developer/publisher a definite plus.
  • Outstanding team player with strong interpersonal skills.

Director of Consumer Marketing

WHERE, Inc., North America’s leading publisher of mobile location services, is currently seeking a consumer marketing professional to lead customer acquisition and retention efforts for WHERE® branded mobile and web applications.

We value creative approaches and depth of experience.  The Director of Consumer Marketing must have the vision and expertise to think strategically about the web and mobile markets and be able to apply that insight to creating brand leadership and successful consumer marketing programs.  The successful candidate will question the status quo and develop break-thru programs that drive will consumer adoption.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement consumer acquisition plans for WHERE mobile and web products across diverse channels, including ad buys, application storefronts, SMS, contests, etc.
  • Analyze acquisition campaigns to determine most effective channels.
  • Work with product management to develop consumer messaging and positioning.
  • Develop and implement effective consumer education and communication plans to increase engagement and usage.
  • Define and incorporate key product features and benefits within marketing materials and campaigns.
  • Leverage consumer marketing budget for optimal impact and manage budget planning, tracking and allocation.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelors or graduate degree in Marketing or related discipline.
  • 5-10 years consumer marketing experience in mobile or web.
  • Experience should include senior level marketing roles with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Outstanding team player with excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated track record of developing and managing outstanding consumer acquisition programs.
  • Hands-on experience engaging with consumers via social media and other non-traditional marketing platforms.

Advertising Sales Director

WHERE, Inc., North America’s leading publisher of mobile location services, is currently seeking a dynamic and talented individual to drive brand and agency sales for the WHERE Ads™ product.  WHERE Ads is an innovative mobile local advertising platform delivering millions of high performing impressions to a diverse set of premier online publishers.

This individual must be a motivated self-starter and an outstanding team player. An existing clientele base, agency experience, and the ability to work remotely are required.  The position will have a specific annual revenue goal with uncapped earning potential.

The Advertising Sales Director will drive revenue by selling WHERE Ads to top-tier advertisers, brands and agencies. This is a high-energy job requiring persistent and persuasive interactions with clients. Deep Internet and mobile expertise are required along with a proven ability to close deals.  The ability to work collaboratively with a team, strong communication skills and a broad base of agency and brand contacts are required.

This individual needs to think strategically, anticipate how decisions are made, understand the details of individual campaigns, and uncover the business needs of key clients. Effectively ommunicating customer requirements to Where team members in order to create a comprehensive solutions is critical aspect of role.

  • Support and collaborate with the WHERE team on Mobile Advertising opportunities.
  • Build and maintain a strong knowledge of WHERE Mobile products, solutions, and technologies.
  • Develop key relationships with advertisers, brands, and agencies dedicated to the mobile space.
  • Represent WHERE at marketing and advertising events.
  • Provide solid marketplace feedback for mobile strategy, collateral, core pitches, and case studies.

Requirements
