Well speak of the devil…Monday I wrote about the school in New Jersey requiring a purchase of a special GPS-enabled cell phone in case of an emergency on school property, and now I find another article about how E911 Caller Location on a cell phone being just the beginning of this GPS Mobile App market.

The article had some pretty intense, intelligent, and relevant things to say about how in today’s day and age, the need for services like this and beyond are so paramount.  The article mentions:

“Clearly, E911 is important, but it’s just the beginning -— not the endgame — in safety and security. Improved security in our day-to-day lives — the “everyday emergencies” that last only minutes and never make the news: the lost child in the mall; the late school bus; the failed rendezvous, on the ski slopes and at the amusement park — these situations can all benefit from essentially the same tools being mandated by the FCC.”

True.  Lets see what we can come up with to help keep Everyone safe, secure, and filled with the peace of mind we all love so much.
