Google Claiming Era of Mobile Internet Has Arrived

by Tyler Knott Gregson

Google, lets face it, knows their stuff.  That said, when they make an announcement about the direction they see web traffic turning, it’s best to listen, because it’s probably right on the money.  What does this mean for all of us?  Simple, we’re in the Exact right place.

Google’s latest announcement comes in the form of them claiming that the Era of the Mobile Internet is officially here.  Yes, we’re in it.  The days of the home based desktop computer are dwindling and heck, even laptops are being replaced by SmartPhones, iPhones, and the likes.

According to the article,

“In recent months, Google has seen an acceleration of activity among mobile phone users. The company said this is evidence that the era of mobile Internet is at hand. Google has seen sharp increases in mobile Internet usage spurred by services Google has offered on BlackBerry, Nokia and iPhone devices.”

In this Mobile Internet Era, it is becoming abundantly clear that the need to access your information ON the go, while you’re out, moving and running around, is of chief importance.  The ability to find out what you need, when you need it, no matter where you find yourself is going to set this era apart from all those before it.  Makes me very glad WHERE is so right on the money.
